Taking Action
Schools participating in this program are required to complete one improvement project per inventory. As students complete the inventories they will discover ways to make their schools green and healthier. The Taking Action step provides students with the opportunity to further develop and apply these ideas in the form of improvement projects. The improvement projects can be simple or elaborate however, they must meet the S.M.A.R.T requirements. Examples of improvement projects are available in the Teacher Reference for each inventory. Although these ideas are provided, students are encouraged to create their own based on the needs of their schools. Each inventory is an excellent tool to determine these needs because the questions serve as a need assessment. Therefore, students and staff can determine these needs by reviewing their completed inventories. Click here to see Improvement Project Requirements. |
